We are changing aerospace. BETA is seeking a passionate, outside-the-box thinker who will design, implement, and improve testing equipment for Alia manufacturing. You will work with an internally motivated, badass, cross-functional team and deliver turnkey solutions to enable aerospace production at rate. Your work will bring the highest safety, quality, and efficiency while reducing overall, long-term costs. Involvement will start in the design phase of new programs and work until Beta is producing at rate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for power electronics high voltage and low voltage testing within powertrain
Process development through creative thought and experimentation
Participate in design and process reviews to ensure correct specifications and practices
Understand certification requirements and assess and reduce overall certification risks
Systems and component requirements development and validation
Participate in the generation of Statements of Work (SoW)
Select and collaborate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to conduct production testing design reviews
Develop test plans, provide troubleshoot and maintenance documents for testers and provide support for rest equipment deployment
Commission production testing processes and equipment through factory and site acceptance testing
Process preliminary data analysis, confirm the testing methodology, and ensure high-quality testing results before submission
Plan sufficient capacity to meet business targets for production output
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
All around good person and fun to work with
3+ years of professional experience in power electronics testing
Hands-on and practical understanding of state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques
Experience with operating and troubleshooting manufacturing testing equipment
Strong foundation of power electronics design and problem-solving skills, statistical process control, and design of experiments
A strong foundation of problem-solving skills, statistical process control, design of experiments, lean manufacturing, and simulation techniques
Familiar with testing software and equipment such as LabView, digital signal generator, Oscilloscopes, Data acquisition box, etc
Hands-on and practical understanding of state of the art testing techniques
Exceptional project management and leadership skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Willingness to travel domestically or internationally
Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
Electric powertrain professional experience in the specification and design of precision manufacturing test equipment
Comfortable with frequent change of direction, dynamic work environment, and passion to perform time-sensitive analysis under pressure
Exposure to rapid manufacturing growth and preferably startup experience
Experience in aerospace, space, or defense industry.
