The System Administrator is responsible for managing the administration, implementation, automation, and integration of the Application Lifecycle Management Software, Polarion. Polarion is a key configuration management repository and process platform within Beta and needs a keen and dedicated platform lead to help manage daily issues as well as build out a long-term roadmap. Robust and active management of the platform and the data is crucial to the process of obtaining and maintaining FAA Certification to produce, supply, and operate aircraft.
The System Administrator will sit on the Digital Operations Team and work cross-functionally with Airworthiness, Configuration Management, Systems Design, Software Design, Product Quality, and other product development stakeholders providing critical tools and support to manage business processes, systems design, software design, and configuration data managed within Polarion. The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert on both Polarion system functionality and also related business processes & data.
How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:
Lead and build out our ALM program management using Lean-Agile Development methodology
Administration and management of work item configuration, versioning, attributes, and workflows as required for various projects and processes managed within Polarion
Manage User Training and Work Instructions to ensure business stakeholders have the knowledge and tools to effectively use the software
Work with Configuration Management, Systems Engineering, and Software Engineering groups to set up streamlined processes within the software to meet business needs
Support Systems Engineering and Software Engineering in auditing and ensuring proper data connections and traceability in support of product development processes
Manage Polarion Platform infrastructure, scaling, user access, and licensing to meet business needs
Manage and oversee admin-level data population, migration, and recovery operations as required
Minimum Qualifications We are seeking:
Deep knowledge of Polarion Architecture and automation experience, including workflow conditions and functions, wiki page scripting (Apache Velocity), Live Report widgets, form extensions, etc
3+ years of experience with Polarion in the context of Aerospace, Automotive, or other regulated design and manufacturing industries
Experience with and understanding of principles of requirements management, software development, and configuration management
Passion for safety through quality
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external customers
High energy, self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented
Above and Beyond Qualifications that will distinguish you:
Strong problem-solving and root-cause corrective action investigation background
Knowledge of and experience with aerospace software change management processes, familiarity with DO-178C, SAE AS9100D and SAE AS9115A
The Polarion ALM Platform Manager may work remotely but is expected to be available for onsite work at BETA Technologies locations in Montreal Canada, Burlington Vermont, or Raleigh area of North Carolina.
