As the Technology Operations Lead at BETA Technologies, you will be at the forefront of driving innovation and excellence in our technology infrastructure. Your role will be instrumental in overseeing the administration, optimization, and strategic development of our information systems, aligning with BETA's vision to revolutionize the future of aviation.

How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:

  • Lead the administration and governance of all aspects of our cloud environments, including AWS, Microsoft Entra Domain Services, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Intune.
  • Oversee the maintenance and administration of our computing environments, including system software, applications software, hardware, and configuration management.
  • Be responsible for Beta's networking infrastructure, including all aspects of hardware, virtual networks, routing, security and performance
  • Lead the administration and maintenance of Office 365 and Google Workspace.
  • Oversee the scalable management of endpoints and security using enterprise tools, such as Microsoft Intune, Kandji MDM, and cloud-based RMM services.
  •  Foster a culture of continuous improvement that drives stability and minimizes downtime for upgrades and maintenance.
  • Oversee strong disaster recovery practices throughout systems with regular testing, review of procedures, and documentation.
  • Oversee management of  monitoring and alerting to identify issues and  promote proactive visibility for resilient services.
  • Lead teams responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems.
  • Lead the Tier 2 technical support team, ensuring timely resolutions to issues at all BETA offices. Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration in delivering exceptional technical support services.
  • Work closely with Security and Risk Management to meet regulatory requirements and maintain a robust security posture.
  • Work closely and collaboratively  across various teams to support the effort to digitize our manufacturing lifecycles
  • Promote self-serve platforms and practices that produce autonomous teams delivering well rounded stable services in a distributed collaborative culture of technical excellence.
  • Owns the budgeting and management of information technology spend
  • Oversee the adoption and implementation of DevSecOps best practices, including promoting Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure reproducible and scalable environments.
  • Minimum Qualifications We are seeking:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management or related roles.
  • Strong technical skills in system and network administration, with proficiency in AWS, Microsoft domain services, and networking technologies.
  • Experience with configuration management tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering results and driving continuous improvement.
