This position is responsible for the execution of corporate accounting functions including month, quarter, and year-end close. The ideal candidate will establish and maintain procedures to accurately complete financial information and prepare financial statements. This position will serve as the main point of contact for other corporate functions within the finance department. The candidate must be comfortable creating and maintaining process documents, flow charts, and narratives to ensure consistent performance of the department’s duties. The accounting manager will assist the Controller with year-end audits, financial statement preparation, and analysis, as well as perform some treasury functions as needed. 

How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:

  • Managing the corporate accounting function, including oversight and professional development of team members
  • Driving the timely completion of month-end and quarter-end close, including reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
  • Preparing financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Implementing processes and procedures to ensure transactions are appropriately captured under GAAP
  • Maintaining segregation of duties and other internal control procedures within the corporate accounting function
  • Identifying complex transactions and working with technical accounting to ensure the transactions are reflected properly within the financial statements
  • Maintaining allocations of corporate services to other business units and functions across the company
  • Reviewing journal entries created by other accounting team members
  • Serving as the main liaison for the Company’s annual financial statement audit
  • Consolidating company-wide activities and preparing ad hoc reports to present to management 
  • Minimum Qualifications we are seeking:

  • Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA License
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or a similar work environment, including 3+ years of management experience
  • Strong organization, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines and report on progress
  • Strong computer aptitude, which includes expertise with Microsoft Excel and Word as well as experience with accounting software 
  • Analytical skills with particular attention to detail
  • Experience with large-scale ERP systems
  • Above and Beyond Qualifications that will distinguish you:

  • SOX experience
  • Experience with PLEX ERP
  • Multi-currency and multi-entity consolidation experience
  • Public company financial reporting knowledge
  • Experience with BlackLine, lease accounting software, SAP Concur, and/or Carta Equity Platform
