In this position, you will support the decarbonization of aviation by finding and leading the cross-functional response to funding opportunities that are aligned with BETA’s strategic goals and mission. You will help us receive funding from different organizations by researching, drafting, and submitting proposals. You are responsible for discovering grant opportunities and building and maintaining relationships with funding sources.

How you will contribute to decarbonizing aviation:

  • Market Research and Analysis:
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential customers, partners, and emerging trends in electric aircraft charging and ground support equipment.
  • Analyze market dynamics, competitive landscape, and regulatory factors to inform business strategies.
  • Business Strategy Development:
  • Collaborate to define and refine business development strategies and goals for the electric aircraft charging and ground support equipment.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive business plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Customer Engagement:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including aircraft operators, airports, and aircraft manufacturers.
  • Understand customer needs to inform new product developments.
  • Partnership and Alliances:
  • Identify, develop, and establish strategic partnerships, and collaborations with relevant industry players.
  • Leverage partnerships to enhance BETA's presence and capabilities in the electric aviation market.
  • Sales and Revenue Generation:
  • Drive sales activities, including prospecting, lead generation, and deal closures.
  • Provide input to pricing strategies.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
  • Stay abreast of industry regulations and standards related to electric aircraft charging and ground support equipment.

  • Minimum Qualifications we are seeking:

  • Minimum 5 years proven track record in business development, sales, or partnership management in the aerospace, EV charging, renewable energy, or similar industries. 
  • Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Willingness to travel > 50% of the time to meet business needs. 
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for sustainable aviation.
