A Person with a practical background in harness manufacturing within an established quality process and an affinity for engineering. The Manufacturing engineer will provide engineering capability to enable and deliver zero defect harnesses utilizing engineering and problem solving skills. Accountable for delivering robust, capable manufacturing process as it applies to materials, tooling and assembly.

How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:

  • Help prepare construction standards, finishing codes and manufacturing processes to enable the modification and production of wire harnesses.
  • Translate engineering into products ready to be produced and verified as per the AS9001 quality process.
  • Discuss with engineering the required input and fidelity needed to successfully produce a wire harness as per the design intent.
  • Establish a production process to incorporate engineering updates into the wire harness as required.
  • Take engineering input (harness data report and wire harness model) and translate it into production tooling (form boards / wiring boards) and instructions.
  • Generate production processes for items not specified in engineering.
  • Continuously improve the process by providing feedback to engineering on production needs and requirements that will drive engineering change.
  • Evaluate damage to wiring that occurred during installation and define repair procedures.
  • Utilize root cause analysis, preventative and corrective actions to reduce and eliminate non-conformances. 
  • Prepare work instructions.
  • Generate requirements for parts and tooling for in house wiring updates and repairs.

  • Minimum Qualifications we are seeking:

  • 5+ years experience in an electrical wiring technical environment, or 2+ years of experience in Manufacturing engineering.
  • Working knowledge of aviation electrical wiring is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.

  • Above and Beyond Qualifications that will distinguish:

  • A genuine interest in the engineering and production of Wire harnesses and a drive to improve and optimize how they can be produced and installed in the aircraft.
  • Works well in a complex technical environment and enjoys the challenges that come with a first build design and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ready to lead a team of wiring techs and be the point of content for the wiring production.
