The Assembly Technician is responsible for supporting the build operations for innovative electric aircraft charger components, with an emphasis on hands-on assembly. The Assembly Technician is a dependable contributor to product assembly and packaging, batch processes, and tasks associated with batch manufacturing.  The Assembly Technician has a responsibility to comply with safety policies and procedures and to maintain housekeeping standards in the work area. Working with a small team, the Assembly Technician focuses on the assembly of components, predominantly chargers, to support the ongoing development of eVTOL aircraft and charging infrastructure.

How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:

  • Hands-on assembly of electric charger components (mechanical and electrical assembly)
  • Contribute to regular productivity reports, and complete incident reports, as needed
  • Use all mandated safety equipment and comply with all safety requirements in accordance with company and government regulations and guidelines
  • Provide support for charger maintenance, including supporting electrical tests and potentially traveling to support fieldwork.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned
  • Minimum Qualifications we are seeking:

  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to safety regulations and procedures, as well as attention to detail required
  • Strong team communication skills required
  • Experience building electrical and mechanical components to create working assemblies                                  
  • Knowledge of the principles of Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement, Lean 5S, and Kanban a plus
  • Aptitude to learn/interpret schematics of electronic components and assemblies.
  • Familiarity with Google G-Suite including drive, mail, calendar, docs, sheets, slides, charts, hangouts; Slack, application lifecycle preferred
  • Above and Beyond Qualifications that will distinguish you:

  • High Voltage assembly experience
  • Knowledge in the use of standard electronics lab tools including AC/DC meters, Oscilloscopes, AC/DC power supplies

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however, in some instances, this job may require work in areas where ear protection is necessary.
