Seeking a Facilities Manager to support the startup and ongoing management of our new manufacturing facility at the Burlington International Airport. This is a new facility and as such will require an innovative and high tech approach like everything we do at Beta. It’s big, it’s new, It’s complicated, come help us make it awesome.
How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:
Oversee building and grounds maintenance in an FAA influenced environment.
Recommend maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications to support the Beta mission.
Forecast, allocate, and supervise the financial and physical resources of the facility management.
Establish standards of maintenance and cleanliness and ensure that the facility is maintained accordingly.
Conducts and documents regular facilities inspections.
Collaborate with the Environmental health and safety team to establish and communicate workplace safety precautions to employees.
Establish security and emergency preparedness procedures and ensure they are implemented and managed effectively.
Establish, operate and maintain custodial functions.
Manage and review service contracts.
Check completed work by vendors and contractors.
Minimum Qualifications we are seeking
Familiarity with and passion for aviation
BA or BS in facility management, business, engineering or equivalent experience
Strong Workplace Safety Focus
Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities management
Customer service orientation
Knowledge of OSHA and other environmental regulations
Presentation, negotiation, and closing skills
Strong Problem solving, Decision making, Leadership, and Communication skills
Technical engineering skills
Project management experience
IT skills
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Work is performed indoors and outdoors with exposure to various weather conditions. May be exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, noise, and temperature extremes. Must be able to use power tools. Regular travel between facilities is required daily. While primary facilities hours are during the day, the incumbent must have the flexibility to, on occasion, work outside normal business hours, including evening, night, and weekend hours. Position involves frequent bending, standing, kneeling, climbing ladders, reaching below and above shoulders, and moderate to heavy lifting is required. Wrist, hand, and finger dexterity is required to operate various equipment and materials. Extensive walking, and climbing to get to the site of various projects or work activities are a part of everyday life here at BETA.
